Karen E. Dakin

Karen E. Dakin, M.Ed. completed her 15th year on the Board of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) where she has been a Vice-President, Member-at Large, and Secretary. She was the co-director of the Learning Assessment Clinic (LAC) at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for 10 years, and then the Director of the Center for Academic Potential at Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio for 11 years. She has co-authored a number of articles and books with Louisa Cook Moats, Ed.D., R. Malatesha Joshi, Ph.D., and Gerald Erenberg, M.D. At the 2015 international IDA conference, Ms. Dakin received the Margaret Byrd Rawson Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions advancing the mission of The IDA.
