Joyce Hedrick, M.Ed. is a language/literacy specialist with an interest in dyslexia and related disorders. She is Orton-Gillingham trained in multiple programs (i.e., Alphabetic Phonics; The Wilson Reading System, Language, and Project Read). She has taught at the elementary and high school level and spent many years at Oak Hill Academy in Dallas, Texas, a school for students with dyslexia. She has been an active member of The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) for 30 years and served at the National level of IDA as chair of the international nominating committee.
